If you haven't started reading it yet, please keep in mind that A Delicate Betrayal contains the following:
👑 Villain origin story that sets the rest of the series up (this is a prequel)
⚔️ Forbidden love/cheating (queen w/ knight...but the king is a controlling, narcissistic tyrant, so...I don't feel bad)
👑 CAUTION: cliffhanger ahead!!!
⚔️ Themes of infertility & childbearing after infertility; & bargaining away ability to bear children
👑 Not a HEA (...yet 😏)
⚔️ Animal sacrifice for Norse-inspired magic
👑 Emotionally abusive relationship (see previously mentioned douche bag king)
All that being said, there is also a strong, badass Viking queen sorceress, a very protective and sarcastic knight, dragons, a dark curse, an epic quest, and some pretty steamy romance (although, that is a subplot, not the main story)!

Beauty & the Beast Retelling Title Reveal!
I actually did it! I wrote a short story and stuck to the word limit, unlike last time (*cough cough* A Delicate Betrayal 😂). Woohoo!!!
AND I even have a title for this dark Beauty and the Beast retelling:
Every Thorn a Curse 🥀🌙🥀🌙🥀🌙🥀🌙
This short story will be exclusively available in the Wicked Ever After dark fairytale charity anthology set to release on February 10, 2023. All proceeds will go to SaveLife (Come Back Alive), an organization dedicated to saving lives and providing support to Ukraine during its time of conflict.
