Title Reveal!
You may or may not have heard, but a few months ago I started working on a spooky short story to enter into an anthology. The story took a turn though and wound up not fitting the parameters of the anthology, but that's fine because I am IN LOVE with where this story went!
The Devil in the Woods was such a deliciously dark treat to work on.
From the star-crossed lovers, to the witchy cult, and the lengths women will go to for their freedom—it took me to places I NEEDED to go...and once you read it, you might be like, "Uhh...okay, should I be worried about what you meant by that 😬," but I promise I'm not talking about the horrific deaths and revenge in the story lol
My favorite part was just getting to watch these characters live their lives as their truest selves, and to experience that vicariously through them.
It can be so easy (at least for me) to get caught up in what I think others expect of me, that I forget to live for myself, and watching Ellowyn and Cecily choose their own paths was very cathartic for me.
So honestly, I can't wait to release this book. No, seriously. It was going to be a Halloween release, but I'm bumping it up lol

She does her best to steer clear of the forest—that is, until the love of her life, Cecily, is marked for the taking. Elowyn will make it her mission to save Cecily from the darkness that dwells in the woods, but is she ready to face the darkness inside herself?
